7,126 neurons from real rats. One cortex you can ask.

Each token is one neuron, recorded from a living rat’s brain. Fire yours into a shared simulated rat cortex and every result is written on-chain for anyone to re-run.

Figure 1. The rat is our illustration. The brain inside it is real anatomy from the Waxholm MRI atlas; pink marks the somatosensory cortex.

You own a single, real neuron.

Its spike shape and firing record were measured in a real rat’s cortex. Those measurements are its traits, so rarity comes from biology, not a random generator.

Figure 2. The token’s average spike shape, about 4 ms long.

Firing record
Busiest second

Each click is one real spike at its real time, shaped by this neuron’s own recorded spike.

Every trait comes from the neuron’s real measurements. Rarity is how uncommon its combination is across all 7,126; ranks are unique. How traits work

How it works

1

Mint

You receive a random neuron from the 7,126, assigned by a fair delayed reveal. Its recorded data is locked to your token.

2

Fire

Replay its real recorded activity into the shared rat cortex model. Every holder drives the same cortex.

3

Verify

The response is written on-chain. The model is locked by its fingerprint, so anyone can re-run it and get the identical result.

Fire into the cortex

One simulated rat cortex, shared by every holder. Pick neurons, choose how long to replay, and fire.

The Waxholm Space atlas: an MRI scan of a real adult rat brain, traced into regions. Turn it, zoom in, cut it open, pull it apart, and click any region to find out what it does.

    What’s real, and what’s modelled

We say exactly which parts come from real rats and which are simulation or illustration.

    Real

    • 7,126 neurons recorded from the neocortex of 20 rats, under anesthesia
    • Each neuron’s spike shape, stored fully on-chain
    • Each neuron’s full firing record, locked by fingerprint
    • Rat brain anatomy from a real MRI scan

    Modelled or illustrated

    • The cortex: Blue Brain’s rat cortex model, simplified to run in your browser, built at 7% of real neuron density
    • How recorded neurons map onto model inputs is our design choice
    • Cortical layers of recorded neurons are the researchers’ estimates
    • The 3D rat body is an illustration
